The only good thing is oily metal dosn't rust!!On my truck the front diff cover leaks and so does the 205.

my truck use to leak puddles from the front seal, replaced it now my rear main seal leaks a little not much but still enough that makes the parents mad. cement has alot of oil stains.;)my valve covers are always covered with oil and both diffs leak and so does my 205 from the rear. my oil pan is covered with oil .wow i need a job 2 stop the leak.LOL. how do i stop my valves from leaking????

funny this is bumped up again, i got all of my crap apart this weekend and im attacking the rear main tomorrow morning.... those leaks drove me nuts

pull off the oil pan and their is a cap over your rear main... i have been told to put a little gasket maker on the back of the seal and offset it from the face of the block by like half an inch to make sure it doesnt leak and im using one of those fancy ass double lip rear mains

86 and up SBC have a one peice oil seal , must pull flex plate to get to it.

My 70 didn't leak a drop when I first got it. Driving it close to 500 miles a week has caused a couple of leaks to appear. One is the rear main(original, 36 years old). The other is the grommet for the PVC. Gonna put a new clutch in this summer, so I will replace the rear main seal at that time. The PVC grommet, I just gotta get my act in gear and replace.
