i have had couple of notes and been stopped couple of times asking if i wanted to sell the Crew cab.
even had a guy follow me to work and offered $10k ( which i mentioned that the paint job cost more than that.

Well today a guy and his wife approached me and offered $30k, ut oh, now if i was smart i probably should have taken it but just couldn't.

Well ya know it’s a nice truck and 30 is half the price of a new one. If I had plenty of money I would have no problem paying that. Now on the other hand, since you turned it down, you better make sure it’s insured for that much.

I've been asked many times so far, since mine has been on the road (mind you, only about 2 months since the 8.1/NV4500 swap was done) if I wanted to sell it. Each time just told them no. No real dollar amounts were talked about each time. To be honest, if someone wanted to offer me $30k, I'd take it. Cause I then could go buy another one (maybe even one with a cummins swap) for around $10k and then have $20k in my pocket to finish how I wanted and $ left over to go buy other things like boats and dirt bikes. Financially it would make way too much sense. However, I know exactly what you are talking about as all I think of is the thousands of hours of blood/sweat/tears I've put into my builds just to let them go...that's hard...and not really my style either. My plan is to keep this CCLB until I die and then give it to my kids. If it gets wrecked, I'll just rebuild it

Actually i think for me its the time that it takes to get it done more than the money, my blazer has been a work in progress for more than a year, a may not even be done this year. Who knows how long it would take to find another good truck to start with, mine was a California truck from day one, zero rust, super low miles, then fixing all the little stuff, air, dual tanks, cruise, wipers etc just takes time, then the fact that i'm looking for another boat and it would suck to get the boat and not have something to pull it with. and i imagine if i added up what i have spent on it ( i would never think of doing that) it probably is really close to $30k

I have at least one person a week asks me if I want to sell my truck. No price has been mentioned because they are just "fishing" to see if I am stupid enough to let it go for nothing. Between the labor and parts I would say my truck is worth about $20,000, but if somebody with money to throw around offered me $30,000...I would take it.

Totally understand. Lots of time I don't think people put enough emphasis on the amount of time they have spent on projects.

Your CC dually is honestly like a brand new "older" truck...so clean it's not even funny :waytogo:

With the prices that they are going for nowadays $30k isn't out of the question, i guess i proved that today, a straight bodied no rust 4x4 crew cab are now over $10k, thats needing paint, interior etc,

I got offered 8k when my truck was being built, didn't run no driveshafts and no electrical, pretty much a roller.

Mine could use a paint job, and some interior work, but it has an all new drive train, suspension, brakes, rims, tires, wire harness, fuel tanks, fuel pumps, etc, etc, etc...In other words, my truck has a drive life of about 200,000 miles to go on it.

And will never rust out...

Right, so if you put another $10k + into it then you could probably get $30k and then go get a new truck that will cost more than double that and not me nearly as cool.

No ones offered buy mine for awhile

Which is good, I hate tire kickers
