How much have you been offered for your ride

i have had couple of notes and been stopped couple of times asking if i wanted to sell the Crew cab.
even had a guy follow me to work and offered $10k ( which i mentioned that the paint job cost more than that.

Well today a guy and his wife approached me and offered $30k, ut oh, now if i was smart i probably should have taken it but just couldn't.

How long is that beaut?

Have had several ask about "what I would sell it for" , cool, I just tell them no way. Have way to much in parts to ever recover.

Cool, did you rattle can it? What paint did you use?

I used duplicolor royal blue in a can. Sanded it a lot, then used a self etching primer in a can, then 2 coats of the duplicolor stuff...turned out way better than I thought it would

I'm trying to find a flat dark blue in a can but all I could find is light blue. Satin sheen seams to turn out blotchy at least for me and almost all blue paint is gloss. Your paint job turned out great!

Fwiw, Rustoleum offers a "royal blue" in that product line lots of folks use with a roller. The color swatch looks like a darker blue (like new Levi's) so I bought a case of spray cans, not even close to the swatch.

As for $$ offers, my old crew cab was pretty neat and I thought it looked really good but no one ever asked or made an offer. :dunno:

Had an offer for $15k with my old 87 crew cab around 2014 and took the offer.

Current truck is not nearly as pretty and has some rust issues to deal with.

Hmm,lets see..how much is scrap per ton bringing now ?...:doah:..

Actually,I've had a few people gawk at my pickup and say "I've never seen an 8 foot stepside,or a diesel that old-..
One guy offered $500 for it,said he needed a plow truck for his long driveway..I told him sorry,so do I,and I cant replace it for that!..

No one really made any offers on my other GM trucks, not until I listed them for sale anyways...none of them were pristine or 100% "original",and they all wanted them as cheap as possible..

See I've lost a few great trucks with the comment that "everything I have is for sale for the right price". More than once someone has offered more than I would have asked for a truck and I let them have it. Now keep in mind I regret a couple of those sales. I poured a couple YEARS into an M1031 CUCV contact maintenance truck that I bought from GOV liquidation. Truck had 12k miles on it. First and only "bug out" type vehicle I have ever built. It literally had every part that it was issued with. Hand tools to generator, welder, air compressor, torches...everything. I completely rebuilt the truck, even though it didn't really need it. Went to pick up an M-715 and the owner I was buying the truck from just had to have it. Literally would not let me leave without naming a price. I thought up an outrageous, no one in their right mind would ever pay that price and layed it on him. He never even batted an eye. Just wanted to know when he could pick it up. Stuff like that you gotta put up or shut up. I NEVER found another one that nice...

other than intraweb idjts, no one has ever had the balls to ask about buying Mutt in person.... it's so unique, I think most people understand what's going on...

I do occasionally get guys asking how much to replicate the bed...

credit check pending..... ;)

I had an offer last fall for $10,000 while it still needed a ton of work (engine harness rework, windshield, suspension, seats etc). It was really tempting being right after paying for our wedding. I'm glad I didn't take it.

Nobody has ever made an offer, they just ask if my Blazer is for sale and I always say no.
