I`m planning on taking the cab of the new truck soon, and while its off, I need to seam seal, and paint the underside. Any idea how much I`m going to need?

Any recomendations for paint? Rust Bullet (which one)? POR15? Herculiner?Eastwood Rust encapsulator?

TIA

qrt'll do ya..

I like a good urethane and/or the 3M undercoating, the good stuff that dries hard, not the rubberized stuff..

Personally, I don't think a freshly painted, clean underside is the right place for a Rust Bullet/ POR 15... Others will swear by it in any app, but in this case, I don't think it's the right product...

Well, thats alright, because the underside isn`t clean and freshly painted:doah: I still need to seam seal under there, and some of the floor pans are still bare metal:eek1:

Would a quart be enough to do the two coats they recommend?

The regular Rust Bullet is silver, so I want to get their Black Shell stuff to use as a top coat. How much would I need of that, a pint?

TIA Paul

i think a quart would be plenty for 2 coats, and as far as the topcoat, a pint maybe?
