I have a 1984 GMC C1500 long bed with an inline 6 rear wheel drive and im moving to Utah the problem is Utah is fast and slippery especially in the winter
So I'm looking to sell my truck and I've been told it's worth around 8k but my dad told me to ask here and see what people say it's worth
Still has original paint but I've taken good care of it no rust on the frame
Are there any other details I need to include?

Lots of pictures help to sell it. You can't post pictures here until you have a certain number of posts, but you can post elsewhere and link. Seeing the condition will have a huge impact on people's opinions. Isn't it really a C10?
  • Which transmission?
  • Rear end ratio?
  • Mileage?
  • Which option package is it?
  • A/C, heat, etc. still working or any known issues?

Welcome @Dragonperson

Your will have more value in Delaware than Utah. If your truck body is not rusted out, you should be able to ask a premium price.

I don't know ok it's automatic don't know the ratio it's got about 50k on the odometer but it's rolled over once it doesn't have AC but the heat works great runs and drives with no issues

Was just told by gf it's a classic

you have to look at it objectively; to one person it may be a classic, to another it may be junk. depends on overall condition. personally I am from the south and I see people rebuilding these trucks and cutting out rust that I wouldn't mess with as I can find cleaner to start with. to some the 6 cylinder will add to it's novelty while it will detract others that it is not a V8.
Pictures will help us

Ok I'll get some pictures when I get home

Pretty rough, here in the west it would hard press to get 2k for that. That said they are everywhere out here, in Delaware not so much.

I mean my gf has been offered 4 just sitting in the back eating and she wants to post it for 8k is that a good price?

Could be to for the east coast. I am not up on the market out there. I didn't see any obvious signs of rust, but the photos don't really show the problem areas. floors, rocker boxes, cowl, etc

Should I get pictures of those areas before making a post? I planned on getting it to a flatter area to get some pictures underneath it.

That's pretty much the strip-down model. No O/D, manual windows/locks, no gauges, no A/C, no cruise, 2WD, I-6.

That's rough for DE standards too.

OP, I'd take that 4k if it's available.

Initial post said original paint, is that the bed or the cab?
