how tall is your truck. mine is 8' 6" at the top of the light bar. In an ideal world it would be 7' even and fit inside my garage. I can remove the light bar and gain an inch. take out the body lift and gain 3 more. still puts me at 8' 2".:mad:


Any chance I can keep running my 44's and get the height down. So help me out guys. what setup do you have that is still low.
 
i never really tried to get in my garage, but when i had 3" and 35's i think i coulda gotten in easily. i think if you went with 4"-5" lift and 42's you might be able to get in.

what is ur setup now?
 
8" suspension and 3" body. I don't want to go smaller on the tire. first I would have to buy new tires and second they would be smaller. I think I have hacked enough to ditch the body lift.

I used to run bushwacker cut-outs from when I drove it on the street. they only allow for so much cut. They also do not hold up against tight trails. I have a set of 4" lift 52's that I could put in the front, but that would leave me at 8" lift.

If I can get it below 8' and still on 44's then I will simply hack my garage door opening and run an 8' door.

if not, you can always hack more of the fenders. what are the true dimensions of those 44's?
 
I had those same sneakers in 40s, and measured 38.5" or so. Never measured mine, but the hood will fit in the garage. When it was taller, I don't think the hood would clear the garage. It's going a little higher, if I ever get off my a$$ and get the springs installed.....
 
Ive got 52s up front and 56s in the rear. About 4-5"s of lift with 38s and I have to let the air out of the rear tires for it to squeeze in my garage.

There is no more left to hack. I am back to the cab now. The current tires measure out to 42"s. What I am looking for is some real measurements of peoples trucks and what makes them that height.

This tells me nothing if I don't know how tall your garage door is.

You've got roughly 14" of sidewall on those tires.....air 'em down and you should be able to pull a substantial amount of height out of that truck.
 
I have a set of 225/70R16 tires on 6.5" wide 8 lug wheels. They are tiny and even with those on it won't fit. One of the other reasons for this thread is I tow this on a deckover trailer. Its over 10ft tall on the trailer. there are underpasses in my area that I can not go through.


besides my rims are 16.5 and you can only go so low with the pressure. I could run it in the garage on just rims and no tires, but then I would have to swap tires just to put it inside. Thats more work for nothing really gained.

I am hoping to hear from someone who has 44's and a truck that is less then 8ft tall.
 
if ur 8'2" with the 8" susp lift, only run 4" lift and then you are at 7'10" and then if you even let out some air you could probably get down to 7'5" or so.

i do know that i have no chance of getting into my garage with ~9" lift and 39.5's (measure out to about 38.5") im about 4-5" too tall

This tells me nothing. Either I am retarted and forgot how tall your garage door is or I have never been to your house.

HOW TALL IS YOUR TRUCK? thats all i want to know.

not yet. I have only lost a bead once. A guy was winching my back end sideways. I stopped rolling, he kept pulling, right into a perfectly placed rock. POOF! down it went.
 
I have 4-5" of lift and 37s and I am right at 7' maybe 7'1". I can get in my garage if I have someone stand on the rear bumper if not I rub where the top and half cab meet:o .

i have 11" and it goes under my 7' door with a 1/4" to spare :D
