how to adjust transfer case shifter

It is quite simple actually.

Shift the tcase manually to 2H or 4L (all the way back or forward). Then move the shifter to the corresponding position in the cab. Now go underneith with a wrench that matches the size nuts on the linkage. Loosen the nuts up and move the metal connector between the nuts till it sides in the hole in the shifter easily. Snug both nuts up to the connector and tighten the nuts. It should then be adjusted.

Is it starting to slip out of gear?

no, the last transfer case was, this one made a clicking noise, the shifter was out of adjustment a little bit. i fixxed it and everything is grand again

What if a tc is slipping put of gear, what would be the cause here, i was told it was because of the vehicule flexing but i doubt it

it could be from the body flexing enough to move the shifter from being engauged. enlarge the hole in the floor around the shifter and that should solve the problem, or if it doesn't, your t-case needs some attention.
