I have a turbo 350 2wd and i need it four wheel drive is it hard to convertand what do i need?

Well you would need a transfer case obviously and pretty much the entire from suspension from a 4wd. You might be able to part out the 2wd parts though. That would help lighten the expense

I think all you need to do is get a shorter tailshaft for it, because of the transfer case. That should be all you need to do.

Yeah i assume you just need a 4wd tranny. Not converting a 2wd truck to a 4wd??

EDIT: what tranfer case do you have and do you know what spline??

i have a 81 blazer 4x4 with a 97 tbi 350 4 bolt main with a turbo 350 and a np 205 t case my buddy has a 2wd 350 i wanted to convert but if it is to much bs thenf,,, that

WOudl the tranny stand the extra weight of the tc? i saw somewhere that 2wd can but are not durable when turning to 4wd

Not really sure. If it were the 208 i always just cut down the tailshaft. Someone will have an answer

Goodluck

You just need to install a 4x4 output shaft but that requires a complete tear down of the trans in order to swap it in. What's wrong with your existing trans? Also keep in mind that the 2WD trans uses a stamped sheet metal convertor cover with four sheet metal screws for attaching it to the trans and the 4WD trans case uses a cast aluminum cover that is attached with six 10mm bolts.

i went out the other day and was playing in the mud and smoked my tranny and broke both front axles lol the tranny sounds like it is a baby rattler lol this is the secound time this has happend.last time it was the tourqe converter i blew it up lol
