How To Remove Manual Hubs?

I struggled for 30 minutes to get the big C Clip out. Is there a hole in the outer hub? What did I miss? I had ta sharpen my little screwdriver 5-6 times! what a waste of time!

I use a sharp dental pick to get them out. They can be a big pain in the ass sometimes, and other times they come right out. Sometimes spinning them around in the grove will loosen them. Also try holding one leg of the ring, and pushing a pick/screwdriver under the other one.

machinist scribes or dental picks have been right on the money for me with those suckers.

I have a little screw driver that I keep around for doing this... after you do it a few times you'll get the hang of it.
