Hello i am swapping out my 1/2 ton 6 lug axels for a set of 8 lug 14/10bolt rears off a 90 suburban 3/4 ton. Now i need to get new wheels. There is a set of 8 lug wheels off a 2006 dodge 2500 that are nice and come with 35 " tires. will the off set be about the same or close to being right on my 89 k5? i just dont want to have issues with rubbing or with sticking way out? anyone know? btw these are the wheels and tires....

iirc the hole pattern is the same on dodge and chevy.ford changed theres, and would not fit.it does not say what the backspace is,but it looks to be about a 4-5 inch bs,which is close to factory and should fit your chevy fine.

I recently sold a set of stock dodge hd wheels off a newer ram w/35" tires for $200. I had the wheels off of my K5 at that time so I test fit the dodge wheels on it. They are sucked in waaaayyy too far. The dodge wheels IIRC have 6.5" backspace, the K5 looks right with around 4" backspace. they will fit, but even with 35x13 tires, they were well inside the fenders.

Now that I bothered to look at the cl link, those very well could fit proper as they are aftermarket and I have yet to see an aftermarket wheel that has as much backspacing as oem. Usually 4.5-5" for 8 lug wheels. Bring a straight edge and a tape measure with you and measure bs when you get there... anything less than 5" I'd say go for it.

I just looked up those moto metal 951's in 17x9 8 on 6.5" and they are only available with 4.5" backspace... sounds like a good fit to me. I'm currently running 17x8.5 with 4.5" backspacing and they fit fine.
