How would you deal with a deadbeat seller?

I've had to call the UPS and other shipping agencies. Because it always isn't updated in the system right. Try calling and see if they can look up the tracking number!
I don't think a ban is really the answer, not that it's up to me in this situation anyways...
I am pretty sure Steve would like to maintain his distance from the dealing of stuff on this site between members. Secondly, this situation looks as if it may resolve itself.
I do have an idea that I'm gonna run by the rest of the mods and Steve though.

Don't get me wrong, it's still a messed up situation. However, at this point he can still send and recieve pm's among other things which hopefully help bring this thing to a satisfactory end.

As a side note, tracking numbers take FOREVER to show up on the UPS website when packages are first shipped, don't get too upset about it. Also, I'd be interested to hear about the solution the mods have devised but understand if it's a private thing.

I figured it out, the tracking # was a typo. After looking at the # for a few minutes I changed an 'o' to a '0' because it didn't look right and it worked.

Legaly only the sender or receiver can use the ups tracking number.

Hopefully he sent the whole and exact amount. Don't get your hopes up as he could shortchange you. Seems to be the logical thing he does.

Not watching close enough... he told me he sent a MO for a tranny and transfercase a few months ago, and I was gonna go ahead and ship the stuff, but my dad said not to. Still no MO... glad you put his name out in public so now I know not even to bother with him. I got the same dad story. Deadbeat seller and buyer....

And it would be really stupid if he shortchanged me now wouldn't it. Think the natives are wrestless now, what would they be like if they heard he did something like that.

supersize seems to be one of those that you need to do your transactions face to face, you pay and get your part. i have done dealings with shawn in the past (not many here that i haven't bought off of) but luckily some arizona guys went and got my parts and stored them until i was able to make a trip out there for something else and i picked up my parts from them.
just remember shawn, karma has a way of biting you in the butt

My how alot has gone on over the weekend.
I'm glad to see things are coming together. I give credit where credit is due, shawn did a good thing by changing his origional post, and by acting mature in resolving this matter. I know we all make mistakes, and I hope lessons are learned by them.
After re-reading my origional post, I think a restriction or probation is better than a Ban.
