there are specs you can find online and also pics of all acceptable and non acceptable gear tooth wear patterns f you search the google.com search engine

also i have some books here with detailed illustrations and instructions and so forth on how to R&R ring and pinions and such, there are rules such as different backlash setting when reusing a crush sleeve

well i got it all together. went to pull the fill plug and guess what, its stuck and i striped the square part out so i can't remove it. /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif

tommorow im gonna get a jam nut and pipe plug and weld the jam nut to the inside of the diff cover, it'll work better. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

Just weld a bolt inside the fill plug, it will come out.

the hardest part about that is its between 2 casting ribs and would be hard to get the gun in there, i may try it though.

that didn't work, couldn't get enough penetration to the plug. i welded a bolt to it and then tried one of my extentions.

ill guess ill go with what i originally planned, fill flug in the cover
