Ok, so I've got an 83 burb with auto hubs and an 84 K5 parts truck with Superwinch (???)Premium(???) hubs. Either way, they are selectable. I've got the auto hubs out, no problem. I finally got the Superwinch hubs out too. Just double check me here. Pulled the cover, pulled the large snap ring and then pulled the (for lack of better words and knowing the real name for it) the inner splined portion of the hub. So, from this point, is it just install the inner hub, snap ring, then outer hub, bolt it all in the burb and I'm good? Is it really that easy? HELP!!!!
Thanks!

Kris

yeah, that simple, but as far as snap rings, there is one on the inner axle shaft (stub shaft) at the very end of the shaft and you have to give your knuckle a reach around and push the stub shaft out to get it off/reinstall. There should be a bigger one on the wheel bearing hub as well, if not, you can always make a groove for it with a cut off wheel.

I saw the the smaller inner snap ring that you are talking about. Does I need to pull that on both trucks and swap whatever is behind it, or can I leave them in place on both trucks and just swap the hubs?

Kris

pull it and swap whats behind it, Auto hubs are different then regular dial selectable hubs.

Would there be any adverse affects if I didn't? I just got everything back together and didn't swap what was behind the smaller snap ring.

Kris

if it bolts together, your ready to go. Use the extra stuff as spares.
