How many of you would swap sheetmetal to a HUMMER style(metal 15 gauge)body if the price was right ??? say Around 6000$+ for a 4door truck Hard top or 4door wagon.
let me know if interested

Would love too, but until I get down in Denver where you are too, my funds are low. Starting a job down there at a refinery but they have me sitting at home waiting for the call. Also what frame is this for? The Blazer, and shortbox kits are different from the long box and suburban ones.

im actualy in DC for the next year or so but the bodies com from overseas
and are built to match your frame Blazer Burban or Trucks ,possiable stainless steel also

I thought about it with a Furd f-150 that I ghad and was a basket case. Looked like fun, but for the $$ was not that much fun. Same thing with me and $6,000 - there are just too many other things to spend $$ on.

Those things look ok to me but the Hummer has kinda become a trendy "bling" machine in alot of ways. It definitely doesn't have the bad boy military image since the H2 came out. AND $6k is waaaaaaaaay to much to spend on a fake Hummer.

I'd like to know more. I definitely am thinking along these lines as of late. I know a guy up here in Canada that builds his own fiberglass over steel tube bodies that go on a chopped Suburban frame. I couldn't believe the quality coming out of a small amateur shop!

The idea of fiberglass up here is great for rust proofing and being lightweight means more power, better mileage, and less concern for gearing. But $10 000 CAN plus all the extras that need to go into it is a little steep. $6000 US closes in on the same price too though. Plus shipping and duties. Stainless is interesting!

If this turns into a serious venture or you have more info please PM me. Thanks, Jason.
