Does any one out there know of a company that sells fiber glass or steel bodies to put on a Blazer chassis? I'm looking for something different but still want to keep it Blazer @ heart.

Thanks Randy, I tried the 4x4bodies.com one and all they talked about on there web site was full size trucks and Burbans, no mention of them working on the Blazer. I'll try the other address. Thanks Again

Not sure if they are still in business, but one company that made them was called: BUMMER, or BUMMERS. I know they used to have a website, not sure anymore.

Nope Bummer is gone as of bout 3 years ago, GM told them NO-NO, and shut them down! :(

They got ran out of business . Too bad , the one the magazine guys built weighed like 2500 pounds less than stock , and made a bigger performance gain than engine upgrades .

When I last looked, the Urban Gorilla Hummer lookalike body kit was like $5000... :eek1:

Anybody ever built their own body?

A few more years up here in the NorthEast winter salt and I'll be doing exactly that :haha: :doah: :(

With all the rusted-out sheetmetal I've got, it's gonna feel like I'm building my own... :doah:

I lifted up my rubber floor mats and discovered where my road noise is coming from. Wow, new kind of A/C. other than that the bottoms of my doors are gone, and rockers are toast. I have new doors and new rockers. The rockers is on the back burner. Thinking about making the 3x3 rock sliders instead. Gonna replace floors with 1/8 plate. Dam Rust, truck cancer.

Only thing I hated about living in the midwest was the rust...

Wont find a vehicle I own with any of it any more though :D

Since when is a Blazer not a fullsize truck? Unless you're referring to an S-10?

I know its not rusty... that's what I was saying... I grew up in the midwest and dealt with it before. Now I live in a desert and will never own anything that is a rust bucket again if I can help it. So far I have 3 rust free 73-87 trucks, well have a deposit on the yellow '79... but also have a rust free Suburban parts truck going to scrap when I finish stripping it. No one wants a tub around here and it isn't worth shipping to the midwest with the big dent in the rear quarter.

The spot in the floor you see in that truck is just primer showing from the floor mat rubbing the paint thin... no rust at all. Just needs a coat of some bedliner material to make it look good again.

By fullsize truck's, I meant Pick-Up's, I should have clarrified, and said they didn't seam to have anything for the shorter wheelbased full size Blazer.

Compared to what I'm dealing with, that's freakin' immaculate...

you should see the inside of my truck... no wing window on passenger side since 1994!!!! 11 years!!!! and less rust than he has.. immmmmmaccculate!!!! dunno how... not like i took care of it... but for a east coast truck... barely any rust!!!! :haha:

Google "alley cat", its made by a guy near here, "Sams Surplus" . If you get interested, try email, phone calls don't do much good.
