Gonna do hydro assist finally. Tapping a stock box, gonna mod it for more flow and maybe a little pressure. Trying to decide on a ram size. I measured my stroke at 7in today. K5 on 40s, d60/14bff, xover and hi steer.

Im thinking a 1.75x8 ram shimmed to the 7in stroke. Is this gonna be adequate with stock pump and box? Tough enough? Vehicle is off road only. Thinking 3/8 lines.

Yes, that should do the trick. Make sure to add volume or some way to make sure you keep the fluid cooled.

Already got a cooler in line and an astro van reservoir as well as the radiator hose trick. Forgot to mention im also running hydroboost already.

I lf I can add anything I would say dont do the surplus ram. Its slow and its very aggravating.

From my research the bore size combined with the rod size determines the reactive speed. Obviously flow and pressure do to. I'm having trouble finding a 1.75x8 ram other then psc. Thinking maybe a 2 inch bore but with a 1.125 rod. I think I'll break a 1.5 bore.
