hey guys im new to this site but ive seen a few boys from round my parts and i need some advice reguarding hydro assist that i cant ask on pirate due to 99% rock crawlin crowd.im runnin 44's with a 14/60 combo. ive ordered the crossover kit and was planning on hydro assist but now am just wondering do i really need it. my trucks not a daily driver but i am shootin for something really streatable (like a 30 minute ride to my local watering holes every once and a while). its purpose is deep mud and a lil bog we have in middle georgia by the name of elko. i know its allways a option later on but id rather get a pre drilled/tapped box since my 4wd one wont work anyway. thanks for any advice anyone has.

I think hydro assist is a must with larger tires.Being able to steer is cool :p: I have a West Texas Offroad hydro assist setup on my truck. When I got it I just sent them my box and they tapped it.

I will do it myself on my next box.Its not all that hard and there is pleanty of info around that shows exactly how to do it :D

I home brewed it. JKW end cap, drilled & tapped the top cap myself, hoses, ram and fittings from surplus-center. Makes it MORE streetable. truck is easily driveable around parking lots now. On the 42's, it was a workout before.

I just put on the hydro assist from west texas. They were fast, cheap, and the instructions were increadibly easy to understand. It seams to be working great for me.

I think hydro assist is a great idea, but for the most part when I am in mud I am at pretty high rpms and I never had problems turning my 40s or my 42s in the mud, now thats when I am cruising through the mud when on the dry stuff they always were a bit hard to turn
