Ok so i bought a 1987 gmc jimmy a while back for $100.. i took the trans as my syncros were bad.... the bell housing... and all the hydro clutch stuff...

has worked great... however i noticed my fluid gets low now and then.. so i thought it was due to the hose laying on the header.. but i dont think that was it..

i think it is the fact that the res had a crack.. tried putting the new hose on tonight and it just cracked off.... sooooo i have to buy a new one..

i saw that napa had one for $45...

now since this is a truck.. does it really matter?
should i just get one for a 1987 gmc jimmy or look for one out of that erra 2500?
is there even a difference? gonna go search autozone only for part numbers to see if there is a difference...

Should all be the same. I hit the wrecking yard and found a res off a 2000 Ford Ranger and that worked very nicely. I'm sure there are hundreds of other applications that would work as well. It just has to hold enough fluid to adequately supply the master...
