so in my ‘86 k10 (1 ton running gear)…i’m converting to hydroboost, i have been running a ‘99C3500HD master cylinder which fit great with the vacuum booster but with an ‘87 hydroboost they don’t match up size wise…what master r u guys running for rear disc and hydroboost?!

i have run 2 trucks with k30 brakes up front and 1/2 ton calipers rear and used factory hydroboost and master for the k30 . then didtched the stock prop valve on the front frame . installed a TEE for the front as thats all it does . then rear i did an adjustable valve inline and did a few test stops and good to go . stock 238/85/16 tires to 38x12.50x16.5 tsl swampers .

hmmm i like a simple set up like that, i might give that a shot

I've run an 84K5 that had a diesel so it had factory hydroboost and now the 89 crew cab that also had factory hydroboost. In both cases I ran the master cylinder that came with the truck and I've never done anything different with the proportioning valve. Both trucks ran the same 14blt with disc brakes from a 3/4 ton front.

ya i got away with oem masters in the past, i just want the “best” one possible, a do it once do it right kind of thing. i’ll keep u guys updated so other people can refer to this.
