I am entering the Mud Bogg and maybe Tuff Truck(No Tuff Truck)

Ok guys, I need some predictions. In the tuff truck, there will be a 4Ft. launch ramp/Jump that everybody hits. It will be hit around 25-35mph. a launch around 40ft.(est.) What will I break?

Well first lets assume you hit it straight and manage to keep it straight on both jumps. I think your teeth and tounge are in the most danger. As for a guess i wold say shocks/mounts, drive shaft(probally front) and might bend or break a shackle hope they are beafy. Dam wish i was home in fresno to drive down and watch yea. Best of luck to you and hope nothing breaks(hasnt happened in my experiece but i tend to drive it like i stole it when i am going off pavement lol just me)

ie back in high school me and my buddies jumped his earler 80 toyota pickup single cab 2wd on the back side of a savemart where the have those huge pits that go down about 4 ft. truck did find execpt we manage to rip off all the shock mounts. Thank got my buddie got the life time warrenty on thoughs

Yeah I agree. Look over everything suspension related. Shocks and mounts. What kind of shape is the hardware in? Shackles and shackle bolts. The small upper bolt in the shackle hangar is a weak spot in our front suspension.

Check your front driveshaft to ensure there is enough slip to prevent the shaft from bottoming out as that will take out your t-case, trans, adaptor if not.

Bumpstops

Fenders

Battery tray

Steering components

Axle housing

If you are asking this to prepare for it, or the one thing to change before you go....I would say get some air bumps.

This is assuming your front driveshaft has enough compression left, it probably needs a lot more than you think(the springs pivot back, and flatten out as they compress up). All this moves hte axle back as it moves up, which is worst case for the front driveshaft.

If you leave the truck the way it is, I wouldn't do it, you will break something and it won't be cheap.

With that said, check this out...

I have done this before. The same thing. I did a tuff truck in Chico Ca. There was a jump, then 3 cars, then a landing ramp. I cleared it all. Landed on the flat. It landed smooth and straight. I did drive it home. The next day, while making a left turn at a light, both Rt. wheels came off. All the studs on each wheel sheered off. One tire hit a parked ford escort, Samshed the hell out of it. Nobody was inside thank god. My ins. paid about 2K in damages.

I am not going to do the Tuff Truck. Just the mud bogg. It would be stupid to break it big time for some cheers from the crowd. Not worth it. If I break it in the mud, thats fine. But not the tuff truck.
