I bought a Corvette.

Yes I did.

Here is the ‘87 Sport Coupe I bought. I had tried buying this car almost twenty years ago, to no avail. Fast forward to last spring, and my uncle’s son in law’s brother, tried selling me an IROC-Z28. I went and looked at it, but passed, due to no t-tops. Meanwhile, sitting outside the shed the IROC was in, was this Sport Coupe I had wanted. I asked about it, and it was his father’s car. He made a call, and his dad said he would do a package deal with it, and a wrecked ‘84 Z28 that sat in the shed with the IROC.

I stole a wheel off of my Corvette to load in on the trailer.

Here is the ‘84 Z28 in the shed. The white front end is the IROC-Z28.

I bought an ‘05 Suburban awhile back. Here it is pulling the Sport Coupe home.

Made it home. Photobombed by my ‘85 K20 parked like a jackass.

Went back and picked up the Z28 a few weeks later (the weather was not cooperating).

Meanwhile, this ‘87 (maybe) Firebird Formula came up for sale on Facebook in Grand Island. Someone had swapped an LT1 and T56 into it. The LT1 was blown up, and T56 had been removed. The guy wanted $4,000. He cane down to $3,200 without even really trying, but I though I better not. A few weeks later he messaged me, and said he would take $2,000, found something he really wanted. So I loaded up, and went to pick it up.

I normally could not bring myself to care about a third gen Firebird at all, but this one was different.....

Headed home. Borrowed my buddy’s trailer, as it has a winch.

I had always kind of wanted an ‘84-‘86 Berlinetta steering wheel. Came across a guy parting one out, and selling this wheel cheap.

Then I stumbled across an entire Berlinetta.

A guy in Denver had this ‘85 Camaro that he was asking if anyone wanted before he donated it to a church. I asked how much he wanted for it, and he said nothing. I felt bad, so I offered him $200.

We went out to Boulder for the Colorado game (that didn’t turn out well.....), and I drove it home on the way back.

I’m not sure what the engine is. He said it was a 383, but when my friend out in Denver picked it up (kept it at his place for a few days till I showed up to drive it home), he told him it was a 400 block with a 350 crank.

I was told these heads are Pro Topline heads.

Whats the plan for all these F bodies?

Originally I was going to take the drivetrain from the ‘84 Z28 (L69 305 HO/T5) and put it in the ‘87 Sport Coupe. Then I came across the Firebird, and was going to use the axle and suspension parts under the Sport Coupe as well.

Now I have the Berlinetta, and I am not sure.
