I bought an LBZ, fixed fuel leaks

I didn’t have a scanner to check the codes myself, according to the trans shop it’s got a torque converter issue and they’re gonna pull it out hopefully next Monday, if it were anyone else I’d be more involved but this shop is like family to me so I take their word.

Got the truck back a couple of weeks ago, they put a new torque converter in, they looked through the trans and said it looked great and didn’t need attention, flushed everything and got me back going again.

Interestingly enough for some time now I noticed that the truck when warm and idling at stop lights felt a little rough, I hooked a scanner up to it when I noticed it and all of the injector balance rates looked great and it was so minor I left it on the back burner figuring it would make itself known when it needed attention, you can probably tell where this is going because now that the trans issue popped up and I have the new torque converter I’ll be danged if the vibration isn’t gone, it never crossed my mind until I was driving it again and the truck was running smooth as silk, definitely a nice bonus.

Yeah I struggled with shudder in my transmission, first I didn't know what it was but eventually narrowed it down to transmission and specifically the torque converter.
I just added the friction modifiers and fixed mine for a while

Wish I’d thought about it or looked into it more earlier on...but this year has been a mad thrash of insanity and long work days so I haven’t had much time for anything of my own except for what breaks and requires attention lol

That's been the last 12 years for me.:doah:
I am hoping this coming year I can start building one of my projects the right way from ground up

Let me tell you, if you have a fuel leak on these things it is going to test your patience. If it wasn’t paid for I’d have let the bank have it back, I contemplated pulling it out to pasture and letting it rot :haha: All I could do was remind myself it’s been good to me for years and keep after it. Replacing the drivers side fuel rail due to a leak at FPRV. Fingers crossed that gets it.

No kidding!! I just got it back together last night and test drove it today. It’s back to 99% unfortunately I need to hook up to something heavy to be extra 100% sure. While I was in there I replaced all the rubber fuel lines, I rerouted the PCV, replaced the thermostats, I also replaced all the door speakers, it’s amazing how nice it is to have 4 working speakers!
