my shop is close to the I-15 & Tropicana. That Toyota is old school cool with the solid live front axle and the 22R carbed engine. Does it have a stick or auto?

Looks like a fun project. Little built yotas do really really well.
Love those trucks, was looking for a first gen 4 runner to build before I bought my blazer. But in the south they seem to think a rusted out 80s toyota is still worth 4-5k
Cool Toy, and just in time for Festivus, too. I agree with your comments about the risk of two projects becoming overwhelming, and getting something that's 'done' or primarily needs maintenance makes a lot of sense.

I did. Built it out of cardboard and masking tape, cut all the pieces out of steel, welded them together.
