I tried a front wheel drive burnout.. and my back brakes suck so bad, that i can not get the front to spin, it just drives through the brakes. I'll have to adjust the brakes

I wish I could do a burnout period. maybe I need a 514 caddy for my dd.:D

Wait, you mean to tell me with all that motor, you can't do a front burnout???? I did one in my 89 with 40s and 3.73s with no brakes. Brakes shouldn't make too much of a difference. I have a big block too, but I know it doesnt have the torque yours does. Did you just mash the pedal and see what happens????

lol fine. I didn't think this was importand enough for the garage.. Just rambling :)

this is a very important matter! any k5 with a caddy motor in it doin burnouts definitely deserves truck of the month! even if it cant do front burn outs, id still take it! :)

what is the big deal about being able to burn out tires or not ?

who cares ?

being able to do it or not al depends on a million different factors and not just your engine output

axle gearing, tire height, tire type, surface type, and so forth is what are some of the zillions of factors

from my past experience and observations and after years of ownign billions of different makes and models and types of cars trucks and vans i have found that taller ratio vehicles with shorter tires and weaker engines tend to break loose at a dead stop quicker and easier than those with deeper ratio and stronger engines and/or taller tires

on pavement anyways

i have had vehicles with anywhere from 2.28 ratio on up to 6.17

some are just too deep axle ratio and short of a first gear to break anything loose, while others got so good of traction that they couldnt do it either

being able to bite and go without spinning is better in my mind than jut sitting and spinning

you seem to be trying to spin yours off, but you are more likely to break a u joint or something worse and when that happens i will laugh

bottom line: it cant burn out readily; who cares ? ! ¿

you posted and you recieved, hehe

good luck
