Ohh I like Buicks, a Stage 1 is awesome. some people say the 455 Buick engine was the best out of the BOP big blocks and some think its even better than a 454. Buicks are a good car to get into, same as a Chevelle and cheaper! Also don't forget about TA Performance.

Nail heads have that by 70 it should have been a regular th400, I think it stopped in 67/68
I went to their house, and this is how I first saw the car. Covered in dust, but not left out in the weather! I saw the GS emblem on the trunk lid, but no fenders. I didn't know if it was a 350, or 455. Owner stated that it was a 455 car. I looked over the interior and it looked pretty nice.
I looked up on the wall, and there was the hood, a spare hood, and the front fenders. The fenders said Stage1, and I thought "No way someone is going to give away a Stage1!!"

@Cucv_M1008 was correct…the switch pitch was only available until 67 in the Buick.
It was a hydraulically driven variable vane pitch torque convertor that would five 5-700 more stall speed depending on vane position and engine output. It was electrically controlled to activate a solenoid to engage the “switch” in the vanes.

Got the car, and parts to my shop. Started cleaning out the car, and checking out the numerous NOS GM parts in boxes.
