I found the Deal of the century!

Is there any back fees to be paid on it?? Not sure if you have them over there compared to crummy CA standards.
Very nice find. Thats why my wife hates for me to look on Clist.:thumb:

OK so im back after wrenching on the truck for a few hours this weekend! The guy that owned it before me thought he could hook up the MSD 6 Offroad system with wing nuts and duct tape. I cleaned up the ignition wiring and cleaned the fuel system and bugguda, bugguda, bugguda, bugguda, IT RUNS WELL!

After going through the suspension this weekend and looking for problems i noticed that the front end needs new bushings and a hand full of parts to be safe so im either going to go buy all that stuff or consider a swap.

I just rebuilt my whole drivetrain on my 87 Jimmy and jaust got it running just right so i hate to contemplate a swap at this point but i just cant get it out of my mind!

The Bubr is nice and doesnt need a lot of work to run well and safely, BUT i cant quit thinking about how sweet the 87 could be with all the newer stuff out of the Burb.

I have a spare megasquirt and harness sitting right here next to me so the EMS side of things could be handeled pretty easily. At this point im going to look into the transplant a bit more and figure out which way im going to go. I know the BBC and 4l80E will fit but dont know what i would have to do with the tCase and a few other things? I have a brand new 208 in the truck now but dont know if any of the esisting running gear would mate to the 4l80E? Time to search!

No sir free and clear with no associated fee's tied to the vin! :woot:

I smell... SFA swap! :pimp:
I can't see pictures here at work (I feel your pain mallard) but is it still IFS? If so, don't plan on offroading it too hard. GM IFS + big tires + horsepower = broken stuff.

Okay, I saw the pics. Make sure all the brackets for that lift are aligned and the bolts are tight. Looks like one of the older lifts with many individual brackets. They can come loose over time and shift and then suddenly your truck doesn't drive straight and no alignment will help.:doah:

Definitely take the body lift out. Maybe replace with with a 1" ORD body lift and some poly body mounts?

I like all your suggestions AJM but my plan as of today is to remove the IFS completely and put in a big straight axle. My neighbor offered good money for the IFS lift stuff in the front so im good to go on the straight axle.

UPDATE: called a friend the other night after i found the truck and told him to be on the lookout for some tires and wheels(discount employee). He called today and i went to pick up the wheels with free tires! $20 for the wheels and free tires! One of he tires is garbage but the other three are OK for farm type use. Since the BBC doesnt fire at the moment (intake off and injectors being cleaned) i figured it should look proper in the driveway!

I really wish i would of found this thing before the Jimmy rebuild started. I may have skimped on a few things

Hey, SFA is the way to go man. GM IFS sucks. Good to hear you're going that way.
