I got a stupid question sorry

Hey guys I just bought a 14 bolt from a 1 ton truck to put into my Blazer, they guy told me that it has an eaton posi, (governor locker) how good is this one, he opened the carrier and all the gears look very good he kinda explained to me how the posi works but I didn't really get it, he says that it's not like a regular posi, that this one is different and better than a regular posi, how true is this, if anybody knows, thanks and sorry for the dumb questions.

It's different but inferior to a regular posi or locker. Gov-locks are also known as grenade lockers...
They also don't seem to work that well...at least the ones I've had were hardly better than an open diff.

rusty's right they um do not last very long. You wouldb e better off putting something else in like a Detroit product
