The guy I bought the truck from...
just put that motor in...
(He pulled a 400 sb)
He insisted the motor had a rod knock.
(He was a know-it-all that knew nothing)

The truck was a gift from his father-in-law...anyway..

So...I need to check the motor numbers....

was the seller the guy that owns that shop? I'll always remember that place because when I was in high school, I worked at Arbys in Norton and drove by there daily, and they had an orange AMX sitting on a 4x4 frame of some sort, with a light bar on the roof. always thought it was cool and stupid at the same time. just thought i'd share that stupid story, glad to hear the truck got a good home.

The guy had one helluva handshake...quite a grip...

LOL...That orange AMX...has been gone for while...
that was before Eddie moved in and started that bodyshop.

phew, it sounds like I was lucky to slip one under his radar. And for $150, no less ! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

it was pretty well hidden in the JY though, in the bed of a F250 under a pile of trash (dodge NP203's and a conversion van's gutted interior). looks like it has been sitting outside and removed from a truck since the late 70's... has moss growing on top of the rust! /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

jekquist, I will keep my eyes peeled for any K30's...I don't need any more D60's, but I do need a 32 spline 465/205 setup, oh and the hyd clutch too. Good luck on your search!

Not many people know about 60's around here...

I've just held on to a couple for future projects...
but I run into them ALL the time..

I tried to get one for Emmetology 101 about 2 weeks ago..
It was going for $350...
Someone really wanted it...so they offered a ridiculous price...and Mike lost out...

But I run into them all the time..
I can only hold 10 axles on my shelf..

Cool, well im heading to ohio in a few weekends, because i guess they are giving d60's away. But im goign to stop by the auction yard, i saw a k30 rusted to crap, and im sure no one would want it. Everyone arround here goes for lexus and crap like that! Hopefully it turns out!

I posted this but i found em, suprisingly enought my last boss called me like 10min after i posted on looking for one! Crazy so i get a d60 and a 14bff, posibly a 454 with a np205, if he just lets me take the truck rather then parting it out, the truck would just be sittin on its frame on his property so i think he might go for it!
