I'm pretty much over this Cs130 ****....
I have tried everything I can think of to make it work.
I have a volt gauge, so I ran a 194 bulb socket in line with the brown wire to the L on the plug. I did confirm this is 12v, with key OFF bulb does NOT light. Key in run, bulb lights. If the truck is running the bulb goes off.
The plug I have also has an S wire, which I ran to a keyed 12v source. According to the wiring diagram of the truck I stole the connector from this is where it went.
The stud wire goes directly to the starter post where the pos cable is. There-fore straight to battery.
In theory it should work correct? NO...The gauge reads 13v at idle, bring it up to 2K stays still. Hmm...whats with that? So I go to the truck, the alternator is making a soft suttle hum? whine noise? It is also hot to the touch.
So, I get the Voltmeter, on DC I have 17 volts on the post
. So I remove the light bulb, the whine goes away. and now the volts drop to 15, then start to bounce from 13 to 15.
So I start over, Bulb back in socket, S terminal wire to nothing, same thing. Remove the bulb and it stops whining.
Then I jump the S terminal to the stud, same as before.
Anybody have any suggestions? I am ungodly frustrated....Have not drove this truck in 2 months, and broke the motor in yesterday....Me thinks it's time to drive it.
