weve got a lp heated 4 car garage(2 wide x 2 deep) but its so full of crap that my dad has accumulated we can barely get 3 in there. If I want to work on anything ive got to move out the cars it sucks but eh.

The bad part is I dont have any where to keep my project truck around so its 2 hours away at a very nice guys shop.

I hope in the next year or two to have a 40x60 shop put up at our farm and have at least half of it unsulated and get a nice big wood stove or corn burner in it.

I love my pellet stove. I have the furnace type that will heat 2500 sf. Way too big for my 24x32 shop but it was bought with a 30 x 60 barn in mind. Barn deal fell thru so It's still in my shop.

I still have a propane furnace installed that I used b4 the pellet stove. With gas at 2.00$ a gallon. Using 100 gal. a week. I couldn't afford to run it full time. :eek1:

Now I run my pellet/corn stove for about 4$ a day. Thats with 1 inch of insulation for a ceiling and the walls insulated and very drafty doors. Soonto add about 12" in the ceiling. That should help lots.

What the hail, if I'm gonna dream a garage, it's gonna be space for 6 trucks (clear span), 10 ton overhead travelling bridge crane, 2 wood burners, 20 cu ft freezer/fridge, wake up the neighbors stereo, 3/4 bathroom. Oh, and an attached 2 bedroom house. :haha:

Sounds like my dream place. I'd have a small apartment up on the 2nd level. The other half of the second level would be open to the ceiling, to make room for the lift :wink1:

My shop is 25x32, all metal with no insulation. Right now, heat consists of a torpedo heater, and a propane tophat heater. Looking at a NG ceiling mount unit.
