I have a K5!

Waiting on those myself. The guy drove like 3 hours from home to go get this thing for me so have patience.

Picture a stockish blue and white '89 Blazer with a winch bumper on the front and 31's.

You bought a K5 in WA? (Or Idaho or someplace, if it's three hours from KennyW...)

Yep. I posted up looking for a diesel K5 last week and he put up 10 or so Craigslist links in his area. One was for a "too good to be true" diesel '89 K5. The difficulty was just working out a meeting with the seller. Got that done today and whalla, I gots me a K5 for the first time since 1997.:D

I guess he lives a ways away from Seattle and this was a good hour and a half in the other direction. I'm not pushing for pics too quickly. He's been more than patient with me through the seller's life crisis or whatever, driving down to inspect it, me having last minute funding problems due to douchebag wannabe buyers on my Tracker (which I think I sold today...I hope:p:), the long drive to go see it, and even now arranging getting it back to a safe place and sitting on it for almost a month so I can come get it.
Way to go Kenny!:D:bow::bow::bow:

As requested, pics.

Sounds like it needs one spot of surface rust cleaned up and a thorough cleaning of the interior. Nothing I'm afraid of.

Sweet !! Looks like it's in great shape, good score ! :waytogo:

Yep, hence half my excitement.

Just noticed the chalk marks on the frame in the last picture.

Should be the second week of June. Was all hot and bothered to do it this week but logistically it'd be MUCH easier next month when I'm off.

Yeah, I know. With all the **** going on in my life right now this is making me smile.

I was dancing around with the dogs last night I was so excited. Nothing like a hyper active Golden Retriever to make everything seem a bit better.:D

Not much I can do... but on the trip home... if I can help at all, let me know.

Thanks man. I dunno, light a fire and we'll look for the glow?

Just bought my tickets out there.

June 10th can't get here sooner!

Nice! I like the 2-tone paint.
It's the exact opposite of my 89. Mine is white with light blue.

Thanks!

I was hoping it was the darker blue when he said it was blue...but then again I don't care. It could be poop brown and I'd call it good.

Glad your happy with it... the seller had a heart attack recently so issues related to that were what caused the delay to look at it. Not a huge deal. But he was more than happy to deal with a buyer with cash rather than the other guy that tried to rush down to look at it before me claiming to have cash in hand... when he called him back to tell him it already looked sold the guy asked "what is your bottom dollar" then tried to trade him a suburban instead :surepal:

It may sound like a too good to be true deal to you, but out here it's just an average truck for an average price. Now I just need to find another driver to go with me to pick it up tomorrow :thumb:
