I have a K5!

Yeah, I know. With all the **** going on in my life right now this is making me smile.

I was dancing around with the dogs last night I was so excited. Nothing like a hyper active Golden Retriever to make everything seem a bit better.:D

man, that is nice. i am glad you found what you are looking for :D

Find me one too!!!!

PM me what you want and what you have for cash to spend. This one was $2K in the ad, but I was able to get it a bit cheaper. Don't forget to expect to cover extra expenses like my fuel, wire transfer fees if you have to send cash fast, plane tickets, fuel to drive home and your time driving it home...

I don't have a ton of free time due to school and work, but if it's near me I have no problems looking at it and aiding in the purchase.

Elevinty jillion last I heard.

Thanks guys!

My buddy says it looks old manish. I don't care, I like it!
Kenny, you have a PM.

lol... like I would ever need to help you find a rig... how many do you have now?

since you asked i am going to hijack this thread for a moment :D

i think about 30; but some are just parts.

Glad your happy with it... the seller had a heart attack recently so issues related to that were what caused the delay to look at it. Not a huge deal. But he was more than happy to deal with a buyer with cash rather than the other guy that tried to rush down to look at it before me claiming to have cash in hand... when he called him back to tell him it already looked sold the guy asked "what is your bottom dollar" then tried to trade him a suburban instead :surepal:

It may sound like a too good to be true deal to you, but out here it's just an average truck for an average price. Now I just need to find another driver to go with me to pick it up tomorrow :thumb:

Where at?
I will be in WA tomorrow, I don't know where exactly I will be but I am driving from SLC, UT to Fife WA and I don't think I will make it in one shot so if it's on my way I can stop and help.

Haha, thats cause it does :)

Nothing like stock steely's and those running boards :haha:

But the difference is, us guys with the ck5 sickness see through that to what it will become. Should be awesome for what you want to do with it. Good job!:D

I don't plan on doing much to it other than fixing what needs to be fixed and keeping it stockish.
Kenny was saying it might have deeper gears in it. If so I might throw 32-33's on it and call it good. If not then I'll stick with 31's.
Manual hubs, decent stereo, normal bumper (gotta trade brewing on the winch), decent exhaust, and that's about it. DD/puppy wagon. Now all I have to do is head out of Michigan permanently.

Sounds like a good plan. Stock bumper, removal of running boards, and some decent wheels/tires will totally change the look of that thing.

I probably will keep the wheels unless I either get some stock aluminum rims or go with something in a 16" flavor and some 265/75R16's or taller.
Sorta depends on the gears.

I think stock aluminum's would look great. Or similar in 16". Yah, im pretty much repeating what you said. Cause we are thinking along the same lines.

Might as well put some zero rates under the ass to level it out. Heck, might as well put some 2.5" blocks under the rear instead and then some zero rates up front so you can fit 33's. Then you probably want to add a 1" body lift so they don't rub, might as well add some new body bushings.......

Just kidding, very nice score. I'd leave it a stocker too.

I think those Rally wheels look damn sexy on a Blazer or Suburban. I'd keep em if I were you. One thing I would take off in a New York minute is that goofy looking wing over the rear. To me, those things scream, "old man rig".

I dunno, does it work?

I know the idea back when I first had my original Blazer was that they "cleaned up" the air flow behind the truck and kept crap from sitting on the rear door's upper lip.

keep the rally wheels. they look awesome on a set of MTR's or MT's

makes me miss my old '76, but not the 400sbc gas millage
Diesel K5's are the cats meow

Enjoy your Washington truck! When are you going to come and get it? If it is after mid June sometime, we ought to have a big Western WA CK5 get together

eh, kennyw, twostroke, everybody? whatdoyathink?

shoot, if i would've known about it a week ago I could've gotten it as far as Cheyenne for ya! :wink1: I drove through Seattle to get there... :D

I plan to enjoy it.
I don't plan on being in town long. Got a 33 hour drive to do and my buddy's talking about doing it pretty much non-stop. Even that would put us into my folks' in Grand Rapids early Friday if we left mid afternoon on Wednesday.
Check the truck out, thank Kenny enthusiastically, and book. Everybody keeps telling me I should take my time and make a vacation of it but there's NO way I can get time off the following week and my buddy needs to be home by Sunday at the latest.

Yeah, but who could you have passed it to there?

"The great CK5 truck hand off."
