I have a K5!

Thanks man.

Oh, in other news I'm working on a dealer option rear roll bar and a pickup tailgate.

Yeah, I'm still not convinced he didn't know they weren't Chevy springs. Some of the things he said sorta make me think he knew they were Dodge springs.

Either that or he had NO idea how to tell an old Chevy from an old Dodge apart.

I knew they wheren't chevy springs and plus to me they are just springs, they all do the same thing no matter what they came out of.
My truck knows no different anyways, its got a d61 out of a dodge in the front and a 60hd out of a ford in the rear.:doah:

Hows that good looking blazer doing?

How's that going by the way?
The roll bar?
Slowly. Guy down by Knoxville has it. We're working out a way to get it here and what to trade for it. Only thing is I'm busy as hell lately and haven't gone out to check out some tools and equipment up here he has expressed interest in. Even after I do that I haven't got the cash right now so it's in the holding pattern.

Tailgate is similar but it's a coworker's dad who says to take my time. Hell of a deal too.:D

I was just irritated that he specifically sold them as Chevy springs...and it turned out he was clueless but insisted he was correct.

Doing well. Situation normal really. Leaks, loud, needs paint. Starts every time. I drove it to work Thursday, Friday, and Monday just because the weather was cooler.:D

Hrmmmmm...actually...that could. He's in...Powell I think it is? Looks to be a little west of Knoxville.

65"x45"x23". Should fit in a shortbed or close enough to work.

I'm Like an hour away from Knoxville... I don't think I'll be down there anytime soon... but if he can come to Jellico or Williamsburg... you should be golden.

I'm sure I could strap it down to something... lol

I owe mrwilliamsburg a beer or three. My rear rollbar is in town and will be at my place tonight thanks to him!

Tell me about it. I found two and both were a 3 hour drive each way. First guy was a mook and could barely communicate. Pretty much just wanted me to drive out to the holler's and hills of Eastern Kentucky sight unseen and bring cash. This guy was great, took a bunch of pics, and when mrw offered to bring it north even brought it up to him. Worked out well all around.

I have a pile of them unfortunately.

Guess you could say this is old new parts? New old parts?

YUP! Someday they all get installed. I'm still missing mine, but I do enjoy driving my Toy. Just started teaching my step-daughter to drive standard in it. I figure if she can get it with 33's on a Toyota, she'll have no probs with the Cobalt she is interested in buying. I will admit it is a little tough to act calm flying into an intersection while coaching the downshift, or trying to start in traffic on an incline...talk about pucker-factor!

Hahahaha, I could tell you some stories about my ex learning on my '96 Ranger with a V6, stick, rear locker, and 33's. Involves going sideways through an intersection and screaming.
Looks like I caught somebody trying to delete a post...
:haha:

I know lol. I submitted it then scrolled up and saw it lol. My bad. Looks cool man!

Working on the hardware now. This thing has literally spent about 2 decades sitting on the ground behind the former owner's mom's shed/barn.

Surface rust all over but nothing structural. Little mold or moss on the bottom of one leg.
The plates and hardware on the bottoms are the worst but still not horrible. Going to get the bolts out and find new replacements. One of the rear legs' plates had a bolt snap off when he took it out of his Blazer and now I'm seeing if we can get the remains out. If not might just have a whole new setup fabbed or just run a seperate bolt and nut instead of the captured nut.

Figuring out paint. Thinking about Rustoleum Hammered black to sort of match the Rhino Liner interior.
Also contemplating tabs for the half roof thing I'm sorta thinking about like 76Zimmer is doing for his K5 and some sort of a way to mount the spare since it looks like this sits where the factory mount is.
