well, i did it, i traded my 01 z71 in on this guy...they paid it off, and i bought this with the equity...i had to give them a tad bit of money to make up for taxes and title and tag transfer

...no biggie, all in all, i paid about 6200 for it..

it's got alot of work done to it and it's in near perfect shape...it's an 83 k10 on 38x15.50x15 mud grapplers(BRAND NEW) the motor was rebuilt 15k ago and has all new autometer gauges in place of stock ones. the gauges were installed when the owner rebuilt the motor(so it started at zero). the truck has full power and ice cold a/c. the only rust is a two small dots on the passenger side, one on the door, and one just under the door...you can tell where the paint is flaking where they painted over the rust. this truck runs awesome and cruised home the 60miles at 85-90MPH no problem(runnin at about 2600+- RPM's) the pictures kinda suck cause it was night time, but i will get some better ones tomm...oh yeah, the interior is completely redone also....

the only problem is the pass. window motor **** out and the guy at the lot says there like 200 to fix...haha, yeah right, ill get one for a few bucks at the yard...

oh well, enjoy!!!!

For a minute there, I thought you had my truck! Dang! Great score! That's a sweetheart of a rig. Take good of her and she will do the same to you.

What are your off-roading plans for this bad boy?

Manny

im going to DD more than likely...i have an 87 that im building up to wheel....now i have the best of both worlds...im not a big fan of mud grapplers and i swore i would never buy them...but hell, they came on the truck and they ride smooth as hell.

could you do some pics of the gauges? yours look to be in the stock pos...i want to see how its doen....thanks

thats a BEAUTIFUL truck btw...great score! it looks damn sexy...

thanks guys...yeah, the gauges are all in the stock location...and look awesome...ill get some good pics of everything tomm.

Im thinking of doing the same thing selling my 97 z71 and geting a nice 73-87 4x4 chevy for a dd.

them tires are kinda noisy aren't they? a buddy of mine has 35x12.5r20s on his 01 GMC Z71(its a sweet truck w/ a denali front end). wish i had some pictures of his truck. its got some 20x10s that are 6 spoke w/ about a 7 inch lip on the outside (way offset).

yeah man...at about 85mph their loud, but i've had louder ones ...haha...they're brand new though...im sure they'll get louder as the wear. as soon as i do my 3/4 ton swap next week or so...ill let ya'll know how they do in the mud. im psyched about this truck...it really is my dream truck. and now, no payments!!! yeah!!!! and insurance will drop alot too!!!!

Looks like an '85 to '87 grille on it.

Still nice truck though.

Real clean truck, nice work. I would like to see some more pics of the dash covering. It looks like a fabric of some sort.

Damn, this is the 2nd truck ive seen with the front lights (the yellow ones) on with the headlights, is it just me or are they only supposed to be turn signals??? id like to have mine as driving lights.. how did these trucks come from the factory?? Turn or diving lights in the front??? Thanks

man thats sweet, now I wanna get my truck finished and painted!

FYI - you can buy a window motor from Autozone for under $50 with a lifetime warranty. Would save a lot of time versus doing all the work to pull one out of a truck in a junkyard, and probably not much more $$.

I gotta see more pictures of that truck... Get some daylight pics asap.

Holy crap that looks clean. Aside from the engine bay, it looks like a winner. hells ya.
