So yesterday I finalized a lease on a 1600 sq ft shop here in Colorado springs. I've been doing a fair amount of
Auto repair out of my house (in an HOA) for the last 3 years. It was time to do something about the limited amount of space. With the overload of work I've been getting, this is the best move I could have made at the perfect time. I had just had my last day of work on Friday 6/1.

I'm motivated to make this work. Between auto repair, used parts, and east coast runs, I should have no problem surviving. The shop rent is low, only utilities I have to pay are electric and gas. It's zoned county, that makes it a lot less strict. The area I'm in is mostly commercial automotive and everyone in this "community" gets along and helps eachother out. It made me feel good that it wasn't strictly stuck up competition. It pretty excited to move in the 15th!!

Right on. That's the exact reason I got my shop. 6 years later I'm still there.

What part of town did you end up
 
awesome.are you ase certified and all that?it definitely helps.and id get some kinda llc attachment.and good insurence.congrats on the new endever.

Man! Everyone is getting shops around here now. What part of town did you end up at. Where was everyone when I was asking if anyone wanted to go in on a shop together last year.:doah: :D I'm still stuck in my 2 car attached trying to work on the K5, the Raider and two damn VWs.:whistle: Maybe when I eventually sell this place I will get a place with some acreage and shop.:bow:

You're over Woodmen Hills right? I drove by your place one day...I think. Saw a K5 in the street and VW in the driveway

Yep, the K5 is parked by the side walk and the Fasty was up by the garage.:thumb: Should have stopped by for a beer or soda if you had the time!:D

Don't have a logo yet. Maybe you can help me with some of your creative talents :whistle: goin to stay off the radar for a little while, until I'm all settled in. I have the old sign off the building that could be repainted. :)
 
Nice, I know that area well, even looked at one about 7 years ago. Good group of guys over there in that whole area
