Since I decided against getting one of 3 big block trucks and kept the money I had saved up, I now ended up with a yellow '84 K10, and now this '77 K5 for parts. Alot of people wanted to talk me out of getting one of the big block trucks cause I didn't need more. Instead, I have two more.

I think you've got a problem:D Maybe CTA is right for you (chevy trucks anonymous:D

Better to see someone who has a passion for the trucks have them, then say your local scrap yard. Look at it this way, you are preserving history!

was going to originally use it for parts, but after tinkering with the carb, and timing a bit, i got it to run pretty well.

Still smokes a bit at start-ups, but that to me just says needs head work,,,like we all do:doah: ANYHOOOOO:haha: ....

anyways, i have a "plan" for it now,,,we'll see how far that goes though:p:

I wish I could get some awesome deals like that too. Most of my friends make fun of me for my bad gas mileage and frequent breakdowns while they drive around their new trucks with worse gas mileage but if I could I would buy everyone I see. You are my hero.

This '77 K5 is "parts only". Huge hole in the floor, rust and dents, mismatched parts, and a completely toasted wiring harness. Clear title, but it's not worth putting back on the road.

The guy wanted 400 bucks for it, and I would have given him that. But I found a crack in the water jacket seeping water on the drivers side just below the head on the block. Motor still runs fine, it just had straight water in it when we had a cold snap hit last week. So I'm going to try and do a "cheap repair" on the block to stop the leak and stop the crack from spreading. I gave him 300 bucks for it and I was able to drive it onto the trailer. It has a TH350, 203, Dana 44 and 12-bolt rear, with 3.73 gears. Custom bucket seats mounted with wood and metal brackets, headers, a chrome steering wheel, and no keys.

I get the top for it separate, and he also threw in three 37x12.50R16.5 low tread swamper radials on 8-lug rims (for spares for my other rigs).
