Hey Brothers,
I know that this is the wrong section to post this, but i ask you to bare with me and forgive me. unfortunatly i do not have the funds to renew my account and post this in the proper section.
A friend of mine Officer Chris Kilcullen was shot and killed in the line of duty Friday afternoon April 22 2011. He was a motorcycle Officer with Eugene police department in Eugene Oregon.
He went to do a routine traffic stop on a female, she took off and he persued her into springfield oregon, when she exited the freeway he pulled up along side of her and motioned for her to pull over, at that time she fataly shot him.
I live in Montana now, moved here in Feburary from Oregon, Chris and his family lived down the street from me. I was a volunteer Firefighter/emt. and he would always wave as he was riding home or he would stop and chit chat, share a laugh and a smile. A couple of times when I was on an early morning traffic accident by myself he would stop on his way to work and help me out with whatever he could until other crews arrived.
Chris also volunteered and helped with the American Cancer Society, and with Looking Glass, and orginization for homeless and troubled youth. He was an amazing guy and great friend. No matter how mean and nasty someone was towards him when he was arresting them, he was never anything but polite and respectful. It is a great loss.
he is survived by his wife and two young childern. I ask that this Easter Sunday that you please pray for his family and co-workers for their huge loss.
Also I am broke and can not get to Oregon, I ask if any brothers in Oregon can make it to Eugene this friday for his service, please do so and pay your respects to a great man for me.
I am having a hard time getting through these past couple of days, thoughts of Chris and the laughs and jokes we shared both on calls and in private flood my thoughts.
