Re: I miss posting pic\'s here
$20 a year is CHEAP!! I can't begin to add up the money I have saved by getting answers from you guys versus paying a mechanic (that I wouldn't necessarily trust anyway). How much is a subscription to 4WOR or 4 Wheeling? Probably $12-15 a year? How much more info and more fine tuned and useful do we get here versus those mags we fork out the bucks for?
I think you let anonymous users havea two week, full privilege trial. I GUARANTEE they will get hooked. I did after only a few days. They will realize the value and pony up the money. If they don't, then they are cheap and probably wouldn't benefit us too much anyway.
Pics would be nice, but maybe that should be something that could be configureable for each user (whether to display them or not). I have ample bandwidth here at work, but pics would really impact this site's performance when I dial in at home.
And in comparison of costs, name one part other than a u-joint that any of us could by for our trucks for less than $20 or $30!
One last thing is this won't make you rich and it won't give you more time with your family. I agree with getting some others to help you out. There are plenty of us around that are in the computer business that would be willing to offer a helping hand. Just ask, Steve. We ask you when we need help on our trucks. You ask us when you need help with this site. I don't think anyone with disagree that family should come first. Even before our 4 bys. While we may not always adhere to that, I think we would all agree.
As with the others, just my .02
