i need a cheap,easy,fast radiatior fix

It does work, but that is something that I would use if I needed to limp my truck home, but sure as hell isnt something I would do as part of my preparations for a several hundred mile trip towing a few thousand pounds :haha:
Agreed, twoslo I think you need to re-evaluate your trip. You are asking for trouble driving on a bad radiator. It would suck to pay for a tow for the truck, trailer, and trail rig

grab a decent one from a junk yard for 30 bucks..

if its a 3/4 ton it should have a separate tranny cooler from what I recall..hell anything at that point will work.

or borrow a tow rig, and if you cant afford a radiator you probably should not be taking 400 miles trips to wheel anyways, "assuming your wheeling"

If you haven't left yet, I would go with Bar's stop leak.

I've heard many of the OEM's use very similar products off of the assembly line to curb coolant leaks.

Just going off an post above - no personal knowledge - If the thing is plastic, would Bar's stop leak work? I thought it only sealed the aluminum stuff.

i made it all the way 800 miles with filling the radiator up with water 2 times...man im glad i went and didnt worry about it

I dont know if I should call ya brave or stupid. Now go get a new side tank put on! You got lucky on that one but glad it worked out for ya, I was wonderin how you made out.

yeah i got really hot around lynchburg and i had to fill it up...it only was leaking after the truck was cut off and pressure built up...im prolly just gonna get a whole new radiator now though

Too late to post up now but i used bars leak in my radiator in my old truck and it lasted a year. All up until i flushed it out and washed all the stuff out. Just sayin the stuff works and i never had a problem. ;) just filled the radiator up and stuck some more in. drove it til i sold it 2 years later

here is what i found yesterday..i replace this radiator with a 2 row heavy duty aluminum
