I need a little help from a friend.

The center 4 bolts are different from an old school small block. It takes some grinding to make them work, but I don't know how well the bolt head hits the intake manifold after this. I haven't ever done it.

It would be cheaper and better to buy a new aluminum intake than ship the extra cast iron intake I have laying around.

That intake is for vortec heads. You need one for converting a tbi engine to carb. Google tbi 350 to carb conversion. There's a bunch of info and videos on it. Not too big of deal but then you also gotta research 6.2L diesel to 350 conversion. It's a big project for a first one but a little at a time and you will get it.

you are correct. that is what I get for googling 2 hours past when I am normally asleep.

There are factory aluminum intake manifolds for this application. 1987 LG4’s and 1987-1988 L69’s used them.

You will need an electric fuel pump for either carb or efi, the block probably has no provision for mechanical pump.
@6psi for carb and efi pressure will depend on type, tbi is typically good at 14-16 psi.

if it's a Goodwrench replacement could have mech fuel pump provisions too.

I just want to see it on the road, so it doesn't matter to me either way.
I appreciate that thought. So I would look into going with a carb. Much easier than transplanting all of the wiring, fuel lines and pumps.
Surely you can find a cheap way if you are patient with your parts searching.

Do you know where the mechanical fuel pump boss is on the side of a small block Chevrolet?

So I still think I'm gonna go with the tbi I should have everything needed in the donor truck. Fear of messing my dad's truck up is really the only thing holding me back. Any beer loving motor heads in Northern Indiana area?
