I need Rockwell schooling

Looked at them at work today. That's the rear axle on a 6x6 truck. The front rear axle on those is a top loader. Front axle has a similar front load setup.

Welcome. I want to say the 4x4 variants use that axle in the rear as well.

Oh, and if anyone asks it's probably out of a M1083 (6x6) or M1078 (4x4).

60 ish. 500hp CAT diesel, 46" Goodyears, and an Allison trans with a bazillion gears.

Got 'em here at work.

Uhm, I forget who but there's a Michigan member who has a set of those for his mud truck. The guy who used to sell those yank ropes.

What do you mean USED TO?

They come in the LMTV and FMTV trucks. Both 4x4 and 6x6.

The the fronts are not top load, same as the rear.

The ratio is closer to a 7.1 on most of them. They have CTIS. Air brakes.

I forgot the numbers exactly, but they are a 3.x to 1 did and a 2.1 to 1 reduction hub.

They are big and heavy. Parts are expensive.

No lockers.

10 lug Budd pattern.

Enough talking... gotta go load the trailer to start the work on the truck... finally.

Hey, it's Ken!

Sorry, someone was saying in another thread recently that your website was down and the thread appeared dead.

I heard from someone else who said they saw...

Skippedlink on pbb has front load rocks in his buggy. The top loader is some of my concern for keeping rig low and not crazy long on my build.

Would be cool to turn the knuckles 90 degrees on a 2.5 ton rock and run face load center section into it and use OEM outers
