i think i might get this motor (383) for my k5

I enjoy watching 6k rpm crawling.

That is a good deal though, can always switch the cam out for something more tame if you prefer, we built a similar type motor for an old mud truck my buddy had, had to constantly work the clutch, but when it hit 3500, thing would get up and move. Depends on what you like, I personally love a 2 stroke and wont own any new 4 stroke, or any 2stroke with a powervalve for that matter, cuz I love the power band of them. If your into that type of HP and RPMs, go for it. Nothing to lose but drivetrain parts and maybe some pride. Both easily replaced with more MONEY. :haha:
 
That cams not that big you should be fine.look up the cam specs and rpm range listed.or go by the dyno numbers ,torque is higher then horse power.
