I found this truck about an hour from me, I'm seriously thinking about driving down to the dealership it's sitting at and trading my 70 K5 for it. It's a 1983 Diesel, TH700R4, AC, Power everything, and it only has (according to the ad) 10,500 miles on it... They want $3995 for it... what do you guys think? I could go in and trade them even-up for my Blazer and just finish paying down the loan... that way I'd not feel so bad about having a truck payment for a truck I can't drive. =)

Has 110,000 miles for nearly 99% sure. Common sense says that anyway.

Being from California I would buy it just for the diesel and no smog:D. Other than that I cant help you much:o

We still have to smog a diesel up to 8640 gvw then after that no smog . How much rust is hidden on that blazer ?? My buddy in MI says 6 to 8 years is all a newer car will last up there with all of the salting of the roads . I would never trade a 1st gen blazer for a newer one unless it was to get out from under a real pos and get something nice . A car lot won't give you jack for your ride and then they want top $$ for theirs  .

My 70 was appraised at $8000 this year, so I'll go to the stealership, tell them I want $3000.00 cash and their Blazer in trade for mine... they'll laugh, I'll walk out, and they'll say wait wait wait... how about this offer......

10k miles and the paint is that clean, and the emblems just happened to disappear?

why does it seem that everyone on here changes their projects like i change my underwear (once a month or so):haha:

My 70 is not sold... the white truck is gone from the stealership.

Atho, the 70 was never meant to be a project, it was meant to be driven as it was... but turned into a project about a week after I bought it. Now I have no money to put into it, and I need something I can drive year round and not worry about salt eating the frame and body off of it.
