I think I need a new coolant bottle...

Pretty sure mine has bit the dust.. pulled it today with the intent of patching a small hole, what I found was two huge cracks where it bolts on(which is why I've been loosing so much coolant).

The whole bottle:

And I broke this part trying to take the hose off

Am I right in thinking it is toast? How hard are these to find?

On the plus side, I did some testing on the rest of my coolant system and the radiator, water pump, and thermostat are all working properly, thankfully

Funny, mine looked EXACTLY the same when it cratered. I ordered one from local GM dealership for around $20. That was a few years ago, though- I'm not sure if they're still available through the General........

No kidding..

When I looked at it I was trying to figure out what they were thinking when they designed it that way, seems way to easy crack. Might have to try the dealership as a last resort.. didn't even think of that.

I bought one also from the dealer a few years ago. Seems to me it was around 20-25 dollars, but that was around 7 years ago.
