Probably for the brackets already on the front axle.

I'm willing to bet they swapped the body onto a dodge chassis.


Edit- actually on second veiwing. Maybe not. But for sure the brackets on the dodge 60 are pretty integral.

That truck is beautiful! Heck even the AC works according to his post on youtube. I wonder if he integrated the dodge controls for it or if he got the chevy controls to work.
Before I started doing body work on my dodge it was almost gutted for it's drivetrain to build a tow rig... maybe someday it'll still happen.

The rear spring hangers look to me like they are from a 2wd truck, my guess is that he found a 2wd crew cab and a 1-ton dodge for parts and just swapped the whole drivetrain.

pretty sweet setup though, I would probly trade my wife for it
