I decided to tear off the molding on the side of my '89 Jimmy yesterday and all was fine and dandy on the passenger side but then i went to the driver side and started tearing, and the paint came right off with the tape! Im not gonna pay someone to paint it since it will just get chipped and scratched up anyway, I was thinking of having it line-xed but I am worried what will happen to it once i go to bigger tires and cut my fenders. So I was thinking of using the DIY bedliner like herculiner you know. Does anyone have any experience with this stuff? How will it hold up to rocks, denting, and will it fade in the sun and look crapy?

I used the NAPA knockoff in the bed of my K5, it sucks. Comes off easily, wouldn't take flex well at all. I'd reccomend a weekend rattlecan session.

I thought about it right when it happened, I was ready to just paint the whole thing either flat black or olive drab green! But at this point and time the body is so strait and the paint so shiny i cant bring myself to do it, its inevitable that it is gonna get banged up eventually but for now its not. Anyone else have any experience with the name brand DIY kits?
