Hey guys,

I recently picked up a complete D60 front axle. Since I like my current wheels and the rear 14 BSF is 6 lug, I'd like to convert the D60 to 6 lug during the rebuild process. I've searched the forums pretty extensively but haven't been able to find any threads or info regarding this conversion.

Have any of you done this before or know where I could find some info/tips? Thanks!

My Buddy made his own 5 Lug Hub's. He keep's telling me he wish's he stayed 8 Lug. It makes things a pita , and more work for everything. I would be smart and do 8 Lug for the cost of hub's get a FF with disk's.

If you have 33's, do you plan to up the tire size soon? I don't see a reason to go D60 with just 33's up front, honestly. Also, I'd just get 8 lug everything for simplicity's sake- rims are rims, you can always buy more.

but you will have to rund new caliper brackets and calipers as well.
here is his kit.

This is exactly what I was looking for. I know it sounds like a lot of money (because it is) but the rotors/hubs/calipers on my D60 are shot/rusted and need to be replaced anyway. According to the above thread I can re-use the calipers that are on my D44 so that'll save me a couple $.

From my perspective, getting all new 8-lug rotors/hubs/calipers and new wheels won't save me any money over buying the parts needed to convert it to 6-lug. Unless I can find a better deal somewhere else, this is probably the way I'm going to go.

Thanks!

It's not at all clear how many you get for $1100 but the kit is quite inclusive.
  • Kit includes hub, rotor, caliper assembly with pads, caliper bracket, bearings, races, and inner seal
  • Kit also includes (not shown) knuckles, spindles, and 35-spline Outer Shafts
My guess is you have to buy two considering some of their other prices.
