I want to see some Suburbans/show us your burbs (merged)

Here is my 85' Suburban. She is the half ton 4x4 with the 5.7 Silverado trim. These are pics taken 5mins after getting her back onto the road. Swerved to miss a deer. Almost went down a 40' ravine. I regret not strait up hitting the deer. I'm actually fixing my mistake now. I'm doing a complete fluid change and fill here shortly. Headed to get everything tomorrow. Oh and I'm pulling my drivelines and putting new universal joints in as well. This spring I intend to get at all that rust that holds her together. 20201228_112844.jpg 20201228_112841.jpg 20201228_112839.jpg 20201228_112835.jpg 20201228_112831.jpg 20201228_112824.jpg 20201228_112809.jpg 20201228_112902.jpg 20201228_112855.jpg 20201228_112851.jpg

New to the forum and happy to be here.
Here's my 1990 V1500 - recently purchased from California (1 previous owner, clean carfax, 170k, rust free) and drove it back to the Northeast.
I'm in the midst of converting the back to a sleeper/camper for my lady and I. There's a couple minor issues under the hood that I'd like to take care of ASAP so I'm happy to have finally found a reliable forum for the Squares.20210205_150543.jpg 20210205_150948.jpg

So you drove from CA to NY? There’s got to be some stories to that

Haha boy do I wish. I was lucky enough to come across this rig for sale online; the guy was an avid Burb buyer/seller who just drove it from CA to PA and that's when I rushed down to PA to scoop it up. Still had the Cali plates and open title so it was an easy transfer and I was beyond thrilled.
I'm hoping to drive it back to the West coast when the time comes. The Sequoia trees are calling my name

Blazer Bash huh? Sounds fun as hell. I could definitely get down with something like that!
I'm only familiar with Jeep Jamboree because I previously owned two lifted 4.0L's.

Don't let the picture fool you, it only looks good from 20 feet away, in the dark, in the rain. Lol. It's extremely rusty. But it's my first one and my favorite.

My beater was nicknamed by my sister "The Field Dwelling Rust Bucket." It wasn't nearly as bad when i first got ol Berths but I admittedly so left her in a field on a friends 33acres and they irrigated so she was watered and she grew rust. Took some effort to get all the windows clean again. Ive busted my ass to get her going good again. Transmission is weak but hope to replace it and rebuild the old one. About to do the ujoints but all in all she is solid and has yet to let me down in any way shape or form. Well the milage suvks but she is 6000lbs so yeah. I do have many plans for her but all are as I can do them being semi poor and all lol

Love perusing this thread.

I don't know what it is about our old, beat up rigs. Something about my 'burb just feels homey...

I love suburbans so much I now have 3.
2 squares and a 96
You sound like me. I have two square burbs but not a 96. My other one is an 03. However, I owned a 97 once. LOL. I keep making the joke that I need two more burbs to beat the five j&#p wranglers I have had in my lifetime.

I already scrapped a 97.
I am looking for a cheap early 2000s and a reasonably priced 2007 and up.
I also have a k5, a crew cab square as well as a 1970 c10.
I have only owned 2 jeeps and I don't anymore:
A 1975 wagoneer which is a full size so it doesn’t count ( love a full size truck that's why I like gm products)
And a 1957 Willys wagon
