Not really. I selected a drillbit slightly smaller than the existing holes so I could use the bell housing as a guide to keep them straight. I did wind up redrilling the holes bigger afterwards, but the holes were straight enough that I had no problem bolting it right up.
I have at least one picture and a short write up on the process in my CUCV thread if you wanna see what it looks like.
