Idle has gone to craps

ok the only reason i started adjusting the timing was because i was told by my moms friend who is a mechanic that it might need to be adjusted since it had a hesitation like what i talked about in post #18. I moved it in small increments and it didnt take much till i "thought" it as better....but then it started idleing rough and so on so fourth....messing was a bad choice of wording sorry bout that

Finally bought a membership! Truck is running ok but its been alittle cold past couple days and hasnt been driven anough to get it warmd up all the way

Qjet

I have an 84 with the stupid comp controlled qjet, and I am not happy. Had TBI blazers before, and love them, this is my first carb blazer. I had to replace the egr valve and the choke pulloff, had a shop do it, because I was about ready to light it on fire. Now it takes at least two tries to fire it up, when it didnt, and it is also popping when i shut it down, not quite a back fire, or it continues to run for a split second and then dies. But i hate those qjets!
